CCHD – CommandCenterHD

The preferred digital content manager that allows a user to create and launch digital messaging.


Clicking active makes that content (media, template, or campaign) available for use in CCHD.

Aspect Ratio

The ratio of the longer dimension to the shorter dimension of a screen.  16:9 represents the newer widescreen televisions where 4:3 represents the square version of older televisions.


These allow you to assign specific content to a player or set of players based on their physical location within your organization.  Players that are assigned an attribute or set of attributes will only receive and broadcast content based on the tags assigned to them at the Campaign Manager level.


A series of slides similar to PowerPoint or Keynote.  CampaignsHD is a slideshow presentation editor where you can add images, remote images, text boxes, and video.  A template (see definition below) serves as a background that is applied to all slides in a campaign.


Your MediaBridge is a relay appliance that is connected to your network to store and distribute content to digital devices. It acts as a single outbound connection on your network to our servers in the cloud.


Schedule of campaigns that run on a continuous loop.  You assign your Channel to a Device and the Device then plays your campaigns assigned to that Channel.


“Content Management System” – The tool used to design, manage, and store the content for the Devices.


The main page of CommandCenterHD which 4 main components are MediaHD, TemplatesHD, CampaignsHD, and ChannelsHD.  You can access all features of CCHD on this screen.

Device (or DMP)

The hardware that plays the Channel you assign to it on your endpoint(computer, iPad, android tablet, linux box)  This allows your content to be networked and published to digital devices.s.


“Digital Media System” – Allows users to manage and deploy their multimedia content and messaging over a network of displays.

Dynamic Text

RSS feeds and Scrolling Text – These can be added at the Template and Campaign levels in CCHD.


A device used to convert a live video feed to a digital signal.  The signal can then be broadcast over the local network via multicast.  Check with your Account Manager on options for your deployment at 877-344-8450 or at


“High Definition Multi-Media Interface” – A compact audio/video connector interface for transmitting uncompressed digital streams from your Device (DMP) to your screen.

High and Standard Definition

HD generally refers to an increase in display or visual resolution from standard definition. High Definition is resolutions of 1280×720 and beyond.


Images, remote images, HTML, and video.


MPEG-4 incorporates many of the features of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 as well as other related standards. As such, it is becoming the new standard for video compression. MPEG-4 is our preferred video file type.


“Moving Picture Experts Group” – A common standard for video and audio compression.


Streaming media from a single transmission.


“Portable Network Graphics” – CCHD converts images you upload into this format so they will display on your screen


A group of digital devices that can be targeted through a single Channel.

Remote Image

An image whose location is not stored on the cloud but is taken from an external source.  A commonly used example is a weather radar.


The detail (or pixels) an image holds.  The higher the resolution the more definition in the image.  For Background images, we recommend a resolution of 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080.


“Software as a Service” – SaaS applications are hosted solutions providing access, maintenance, and ongoing support to customers across the Internet, eliminating the need to install and run an application on the customer’s computer.  CCHD is a SaaS solution.


A backdrop that is applied to all slides in a Campaign.  Similar to a Master Slide in PowerPoint.  Widgets such as weather, date, and time can be added in TemplatesHD.


A designation assigned to a MediaBridge to distribute media to a digital device or group of digital devices.
