CCRS, pronounced "Chris", stands for Command Center Relay Server and is a purpose-built relay appliance developed specifically for Industry Weapon's CommandCenterHD (CCHD) Platform. CCRS is the bridge between CCHD and digital media players that are attached to your devices. CCRS is available directly from Industry Weapon via our hardware version, or VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V compatible guest images. Additionally, our VMware image can live on the Cisco UCS C 20 server and Cisco ISR-G2 router.
Network Friendly
Rather than having to "poke" a ton of holes in your firewall (think one hole per DMP), CCRS allows for one outbound connection to the CommandCenterHD server in the sky where our servers manage the connections for external data sources. This results in less bandwidth usage, less IT involvement and less network maintenance for your digital media initiatives.
Multi-Media Management
CCRS incorporates an asset management feature called Local Intelligent Media Control (LIMC) that synchronizes each DMP on your network with the local CCRS. LIMC performs media caching and distribution routines based on your digital signage campaign preferences and schedules. Your DMPs only get the content they need, when they need it.
Scalability
In deployments covering multiple locations, a "Master" CCRS can be installed within a centralized data center along with "Edge" CCRS's installed within each location. This greatly reduces the number of open ports and bandwidth required to run your digital signage network.
Health of Your Digital Media
CCRS monitors and manages all activities involving the DMPs within your digital media network including playback routines, network interruptions, power cycles, etc. In the event a DMP cannot be contacted, the CCRS' resuscitation manager will automatically issue a command to resume playback for the impacted devices.
Real-time Monitoring
CommandCenterHD's System Diagnostics dashboard reporting allows you to quickly identify issues with campaigns, media players, your network and devices. Advanced diagnostics tools allow you to pinpoint, troubleshot and resolve these issues.
